Our Baby Boy

Hunter is growing so much, each and every day! He has been very alert since birth, but he now loves to smile and laugh during conversations and always has so much to say! He is eating 5 oz. every 3-4 hours, but acts hungry after 2... poor Mommy! He took a nap in his crib for the first time on Friday, too. Photos below.

Last Saturday morning, opening day, Daddy shot a deer with his bow!! Good Job, Daddy : ) We love you!

Hunter is 4 weeks old!

I can't believe our son is already 4 weeks old...Wow!

He eats like a champ, holds his head great, loves to coo and talk, is very alert and growing each day!

He is such a sweet heart and we love him VERY much : )

Monday we had another play date with Baby Brynn, who is 4 weeks older and the daughter of 1 of my closest friends, Jaclyn. We had a lot of fun, but as you can see below, our 'play' date turned into a 'nap' date...So cute!

Tomorrow we have a play date with Kamden, who was born the day after Hunter and is the son of 1 of my other closest friends, Jamie.

Our Angel Baby

One year ago today, our Angel Baby went to Heaven. A part of us died with our unborn and we grieved in our own way. I did a lot of writing and expressed my feelings in that way, as well as sharing them with my amazing Husband. Looking back to a year ago, there were a lot of things people would say to me that I took offensively. I understand now they were trying to help and make me feel better and just couldn't find the right words to say. Tommy and I are closer than ever and we have such an incredible marriage and bond to one another. It's never quite as overwhelming as it is in the beginning, but it remains a part of you always.

If you talk about our loss and I cry, please know that you did not hurt me. My child’s death is the cause of my tears. You have talked about my angel baby and allowed me to share my grief. I thank you for both. Please do not remove remembrance of our child. Please understand that my grief will never be over. I will suffer the death of our baby until the day I die.

Hunter Ian is truly our Miracle Baby and a gift from God and we are so thankful he is in our lives... It really makes you count your blessings and to know how lucky we are to finally have our Family that we have dreamed of for years. We will remember the past, hope for the future, but live in the present.

Please hold us in your prayers as we remember this day of tragedy and heartbreak.

Friday night Tommy and I took Hunter in to Keri's studio for his infant photo session. It went well, except that infants usually sleep for their session, but not our Son... I still think we captured some great photos though... I took 1 with my camera, which is posted below.

Tomorrow will be our first outing, just Mommy and Hunter... Wish us luck! Wednesday is his 2 week check up appt. with his Pediatrician, so we'll try and post that evening...
