As soon as Hunter woke up one Sunday morning, he was asking to go to Ree's house. I told him we could go have lunch with them, so a couple hours pass and he walks over to me and says, in a very excited and animated voice 'Mooooom, it's wuuuunch time! Time to go to Ree's house.
I pway wif my cousins!' Each word drawn out.
The day after Jake's 2nd Birthday party: 'Hey, Mom, esterday was Jakey's Birfday. I got him pwesent, right? I had fun! Coookies!!' Yep. It was a cookie party ;)
Mama had a terrible headache and Hunter was yelling from excitement. I asked him not to yell because Mommy's head hurt really bad. He says 'you need a new one, Mom? You buy new one at the store!' Oh, boy. Our Son thinks you can 'buy' anything at the store... I think this comes from over communicating to a 2 year old when we run out of household items and I tell him we need to buy more at the store ;) Yep, he's listening!
'Sorry, Charlie!', 'My Oso name is Hunter', 'Want some? Are you sure?' (he likes to 'share' his food that he doesn't want!) and he adds 'right?' to the end of every sentence he speaks! He also makes sure you use your manners and he says 'good job!' when necessary :) If he's getting in trouble, he says 'you bein' rude!' and he also told his Aunt 'stop you attitude'. She's even been put in time outs. 'Auntie, one, three TIME OUT!' - Meet our 2 year old Son, Hunter!
While watching Special Agent Oso, he had an extensive conversation and the only thing I caught was the end, 'Wolfie so silly!' :)
When Dad picked him up after work one afternoon, Hunter was inside but knocked on the door and said 'Dad, knock knock. Who's there? Hunter's here!' :)
While at Auntie's, the kids were hopping down the hallway and as they came into the living room he would say 'good job, guys! You a froggy!' He also thinks he's the boss! 'Kids, Owey seepin' Auntie's room. Be quiet, you hear me?'
One Saturday afternoon he was pure entertainment for me! We were hanging out in the living room and he looked at me and said 'where's Santa's sleigh?' I repeated it, unsure if that's what he really said. He says 'Yeah! Where's Santa's sleigh at?' I told him at the North Pole and he said 'ho ho ho'. He talks about Santa a lot and remembers quite a few of the gifts he brought for Hunter. 'Santa brought me dis, right Mom?' I love the random things he comes up with!
On our way to Riddle for Josh's basketball game, we were about 3 miles from Tommy's work, which Hunter has only been to a couple times, and he started yelling 'my Dad's work, see my Dad!' and as we drove by he said 'I see my Dad's twuck! My Dad's wood! My Dad wood he cut' =) He is so unbelievably smart and really listens when we talk to him! Tommy was at work that Saturday so he really did see his Dad's truck :)
After a long week at work, we were relaxing on a Friday evening and Hunter ran up to me and said 'Mom, I ant to go to Lowes! Get dwessed and go to Lowes, okay?' Yep, still his favorite store. I asked him why he wanted to go to Lowes and he said 'Dad needs more wood for gawage!'
He was laying on the floor with his life size SpongeBob pillow having a conversation and I overheard 'no shoes on the carpet, no shoes on the carpet Bob Bob!' Then he shared his milk and told me Bob Bob took his diaper off...oh boy!
He also says 'I want that for my Birthday, okay?' for every toy on commercials and says 'Ka-Chow!' A LOT! He loves watching McQueen =) He has started asking me what the animals say, too. He says 'Mom, what does the cow say?' followed by 'good job!' Apparently we asked him these animal sounds a lot ;) He knows 15+ animal sounds but the monkey, frog and elk are the cutest!! Dino is the scariest, of course!
He overheard me asking Tommy what was for lunch and he ran into the room yelling 'DQ! DQ for wunch!' On our way, there were a lot of birdies out and he said 'follow us birdies, goin' DQ for wunch!' they fluttered away and he said 'good job, birdies!' :) It was snowing while we were there and he thought it was pretty cool watching the snow land in the creek! 'Where'd da snow go? Fell in cweek?'
The next day, Dad went fishing. Hunter kept saying 'Dad fishin' Daddy catch fish today?' Yep! He caught 4!! As the day got later, he said 'Dad need come home NOW!' Have I mentioned he thinks he's the boss?!
