September {fading} Sun

September was a busy, yet fun month. It was still Dad's hunting season so H and I kept ourselves pretty busy :) 

He was still convinced every mountain we passed, that's where his Dad was hunting and he wanted to go find him...

One morning, he was sitting on his train table with his sand bucket that has a water spout and he told me 'I'm callin' in a big buck!' then saw an elk! Ha Ha. Gotta love this imagination!

While using the hose, spraying the grass he says 'Did you see that? I makin' mud pies!' then told me 'I pwacting to be a firefighter like Manie!' =)

When I got home one evening, Hunter says 'Mom, you work in Roseburg, right? And Dad works in Riddle! And we live in Myrtle Creek, yeah?' Yep. My smart boy!
Oh, and Sharon's shop is in Tri City! :)

Hunter also loves to 'pretend play' and his favorite is for Mommy to be puppy ;) I crawl around while I bark, pant and wimper. Hunter brushes my face and says 'pretty puppy', 'good puppy', 'it's okay, puppy. Don't cry!' and 'no barking, puppy!' :)

I love listening and watching him play, he truly is so amazing. I overheard him saying 'this is the way to Diamond Lake!' and he always talks about Mickey's House!

'Ready, Set, GO!' and 'I have a good idea!' are also familiar sentences! He tells me often, 'Mom, you can play with my {insert toy here} but please don't ruin it, okay?' {truck, cars, cuddle blankies, jet planes, etc.}

'Beep, beep, beep...' every time I back up while driving, or while he plays. Sound effects are a must! ;) 

In conversation, everything is 'Fifty Bucks!', it's always 4:30 or something will be in 40 min and the days is always Wednesday :)

Hunter was very sick, with a bad case of the flu bug and puked for 2 days, diarrhea lasting a full week. After the puking ended, the nurse said having him eat something with a little grease to break things up and separate, she suggested grilled cheese. When I asked H if he wanted a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner he says 'Yeah! I want one from daiwy qeen!' then whispered 'and ice cweam after...' 

While leaving Aunt Ree's house, the neighbor kids were out playing volleyball, so H yells 'get out the road, we gonna drive on it! We don't wanna run you over...'  
When driving, there was a right turn yield and Hunter says 'Mom! Go back to the finish line, you didn't stop all da way!' ;)

We had to throw away his favorite camo sandals because they were old and stinky. He was very upset about it, but decided it would be best for him to say goodbye and put them in the trash himself. He chose Gramma & Papa's dumpster, so the trash truck can take them... then a couple weeks later, he was devastated again and said 'I want that big trash truck to bring my camo shoes back! I miss them!' He asked if we could go to the dump to see them...

Hunter also objects to the amount of photos I take on a daily basis. Okay, so maybe I take a few too many, but he's just too cute! I want to capture every moment to ensure I have a lot of reminders for our memories! He told me 'put that back in your pocket and don't take no more pictures!' 

Right. I'll listen to him just as well as he listens to me ;) YEP. I still take too many pictures! 

No regrets.

He also enjoys everything but vegetables and healthy foods lately...

'My Dad said no I can't have cookies before dinner' (crying hysterically)

It's such a blessing to spend time with Hunter, he's such a fun, smart and amazing little boy. I can't believe how fast he is growing up and love the conversations we have every day. He understands so much more than I ever imagined at this age and I smile and laugh at the many stories he has for me every day! He is truly my best friend and I love him so much.

The feelings you have for your child are so indescribable, there are no words! ;)

It was enjoyable to watch them play and see the difference between 100% girly girl and 100% boy!

 'Mom, I'm riding a bucking horse bull. Yeeeehaw!' as he rocks the chair, to buck him ;) Love him!
